The 'HEAL' by Robert Indiana is a limited edition silkscreen print on museum board, created in 2015. This uplifting pop artwork features Robert Indiana's iconic block letter text over a multi-color gradient in a vibrant sunset palette of colors. The stunning 'HEAL' represents idealized hope and optimistic outlook as Indiana subtly reminds his viewers that hardship is only temporary. The artwork is signed numbered by the Artist in pencil on the lower front corners and is of an exceptionally limited edition of only twenty-five in existence. The 'HEAL' comes ready to install in a custom-made white glossy lacquer frame and is completed with museum caliber UV protective non-glare glass. The unframed dimensions measure approximately: 32 x 32 in. / 81.3 x 81.3 cm. The 'HEAL' is delivered with the Arton seal of approval for authenticity, quality and exquisite condition. Robert Indiana is one of the central figures of the Pop Art movement, taking his inspiration from commercial signs, claiming: “There are more signs than trees in America. There are more signs than leaves. So I think of myself as a painter of American landscape.” In his paintings, sculptures, and prints, he mimics and re-arranges the words and numbers of a myriad of signs, including the Phillips 66 gas station logo and the “Yield” traffic sign. He is most famous for his “LOVE” paintings and sculptures, first produced in the 1960s. The series has become a global phenomenon with instantly recognizable motif. Creating a block out of the word—with the “L” and the “O” set atop the “V” and the “E”—Indiana has effectively woven his artwork into the history of contemporary art and culture forever.
