Untitled is an original realized by Tommaso Cascella in 1972. Serigraph on paper. Signed and dated on plate on the lower margin (Tommaso Cascella 72). Edition on 50 prints. Printed by Studio Ammonite. Very good conditions.
The artwork is a serigraph realized by the artist in the 1970's. It is one of the youth works of the artist and it represents a simple and colored composition. The artworks of the artist are a combination of symbols and icons. Through this stylized shapes, the artist create a particular alphabet. In this artwork some stylized birds are present and, on the lower side, there is seashell. A red ladder is in the center of the composition and, on the upper side, there is a green circle.
Tommaso Cascella (Rome, 1951) is an Italian painter and sculptor. His works tend to a tridimensional transposition and to a symbiosis with his sculpture in bronze. The artist’s intensive chromatic compositions are a real and proper architecture, constellated with symbols, almost like an alchemical alphabet. Painting and sculptures are a contamination of sight with sense. The titles of his works show a great passion for books. Cascella’s first personal exhibition was held in the Gallery of Luigi De Ambrogi in Milan, in 1985.
