About the Item
This artwork "Horse" 1971, is an original etching on Wove paper by Japanese artist Akio Yamao, b.1933. It is hand signed, dated and numbered 13/50 in pencil by the artist. The artwork (image) size is 6 x 7.25 inches, framed size is 12.65 x 13.25 inches. Custom framed in a silver frame, with off-white matting. It is in excellent condition.
About the artist:
Akio Yamao was a full member of the Japanese Print Association. During the 1970's the artist specialized in the art of etching, particularly on a miniature scale. These works of art were annually exhibited at major shows in Europe, the United States and Japan. "Monkey and Tiger" is a superb example of his finely detailed, miniature art.
