Antoine de saint Exupery
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, born in Lyon, France, on June 29, 1900, was not only a renowned writer and pioneering aviator but also a talented artist whose illustrations brought his literary works to life. While he is best known for his novella "The Little Prince," his artwork is integral to its charm and enduring appeal. Saint-Exupéry's delicate yet expressive illustrations, featured throughout the book, beautifully complement the narrative and evoke a sense of whimsy and wonder. His drawings capture the essence of each character and scene, adding depth and emotion to the story's timeless themes. Despite his untimely disappearance during a reconnaissance mission in July 1944, Saint-Exupéry's artistic legacy lives on through the enchanting illustrations of "The Little Prince," continuing to captivate readers and inspire artists around the world.

Biography:
John Gould FRS (14 September 1804 – 3 February 1881) was an English ornithologist and bird artist. He published a number of monographs on birds, illustrated by plates that he produced with the assistance of his wife, Elizabeth Gould, and several other artists including Edward Lear, Henry Constantine Richter, Joseph Wolf and William Matthew Hart. He has been considered the father of bird study in Australia and the Gould League in Australia is named after him.
