About the Item

This first edition exhibition poster was created for David Hockney's Complete Prints show at Galerie Mikro in Berlin in 1968. It features the artwork Two Boys Aged 23 or 24 from the C.P. Cavafy series, originally created in 1966. This piece is referenced as no. 9 in Brian Baggott's Catalogue. The C.P. Cavafy series is inspired by the works of the Greek poet Constantine P. Cavafy, with Hockney illustrating various poems that explore themes of love and desire. Two Boys Aged 23 or 24 is one of the key pieces from this series, showcasing Hockney’s ability to capture intimate and evocative moments with his distinctive line work and composition. Though not in mint condition, it retains its high collectible value due to its rarity and connection to Hockney's celebrated print series. Shipping and Handling: We ship Worldwide.
