About the Item
In 1983, artist David Lingwood created a diptych titled "Brooklyn Bridge" to commemorate the bridge's centennial. This two-panel offset lithograph, each measuring approximately 25.5 x 40 inches, offers a panoramic view from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Lingwood's use of soft pastel hues, including pinks and browns, captures the bridge bathed in late evening light, highlighting its architectural elegance. Published by Modernart Editions in collaboration with Poster Portfolio, this artwork became a popular depiction of the Brooklyn Bridge during the 1980s and 1990s. Today, only a limited number of copies remain available.
