About the Item
Mexican visual artist. She studied sculpture and portraiture at the Llotja, School of Arts and Crafts in Barcelona. She has a degree in Plastic Arts from La Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado La Esmeralda ENPEG. She obtained the Jóvenes Creadores FONCA scholarship, and in 2019 she obtains the BANFF CENTER/FONCA scholarship. Her work has been exhibited in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Austria, Peru, Colombia, France, Spain, and Slovenia. Germany, England, and Venice, as well as in museums and cultural spaces among which Rufino Tamayo, Museo Carrillo Gil, Museo de la Ciudad de México, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Oaxaca, MUAC, Museo Nacional de la Estampa, Casa del Lago Juan José Arreola, Museo Experimental El Eco, Berkeley Art Center California, SOMArts Cultural Center. In 2013, she was awarded the VI Bienal Nacional de Arte de Yucatán in the video, and she obtained the FONCA/AIR France Artistic Residencies scholarship. In 2020 she exhibited individually at the VIII SALON ACME Art Fair. Her painting obtains the acquisition award XIX Bienal Rufino Tamayo 2020.
