Beautiful ex libris that depicts a fox and a weight scale, symbols of the law. The work has been realized by the Italian artist Attilio Giuliani. Attilio Giuliani was one of those personalities who not only showed with his works the great expressive abilities of the xylographic technique, the possibility of using wood with delicacy and subtlety so as to obtain traits that have nothing to envy to etching techniques but above all, he transmitted to his students the love for wood and the burin and gouge, during the long years of teaching at the current School of Ornamental Arts, still a popular destination for artists and students and, before that, to Gubbio and, in the capital, at the Academy of Fine Arts where he was assistant of engraving techniques from 1937 to 1943.
