David Schluss is a celebrated Israeli artist known for his expressive, rhythm-filled compositions that blend figurative abstraction, symbolism, and a vivid, almost musical use of color. Born in 1943 in Israel, Schluss began his artistic journey at a young age and later pursued formal training in fine arts in Canada, where he refined his distinctive visual language. Schluss’s work is characterized by flowing, elongated figures that often appear to float or dance through space, capturing moments of intimacy, celebration, and spiritual reflection.
