This exquisite engraving after Edgar Degas (1834–1917), titled Femme nue debout a sa toilette (Standing Nude at Her Toilette), originates from the celebrated album Degas Danse dessin (Degas Dance Drawings), published by Ambroise Vollard, Paris, and rendered by Maurice Potin, Paris. The album was printed by A Jourde, maitre imprimeur, Paris, on February 24, 1936. The composition reflects Degas’s uncompromising study of the human body, revealing his analytical approach to anatomy, balance, and physical tension through disciplined line and tonal restraint.
