A compelling and emblematic print by Guy Harloff, centred on an enigmatic suspended form that combines ritual objects with the artist’s recurring motif of the watchful eye. Against a warm ochre ground flecked with scattered pigment, the central figure—part ceremonial device, part surreal creature—is composed of candles, mirrors, stylised limbs and fragmentary inscriptions including “RIT…”, “CHAIR…” and “WANDA…”. The composition exemplifies Harloff’s distinctive graphic vocabulary: bold blocks of colour, strong black contouring, and a poetic, dreamlike symbolism that evokes ceremonial mystery and subconscious narrative.
