A richly detailed and theatrically structured composition by Guy Harloff, divided into two contrasting pictorial fields. On the left, a monumental letter “E” is constructed from watchful eyes, candles and ritual implements, accompanied by the inscription “Rite… Érotisme…”. On the right, a totemic red figure surrounded by symbolic objects, flames and mirrors is framed by the bold vertical text “WANDA”. The work exemplifies Harloff’s distinctive visual language, blending surrealist symbolism with poetic text and a graphic, almost architectural organisation of space. Executed in saturated colours and strong black contours, the print conveys a charged atmosphere of ceremony, desire and enigmatic narrative typical of the artist’s mature graphic production.
