Signed lower right, 'Pla Domenech' for Jordi Pla Domenech (Spanish, 1917-1992) and created circa 1975.

Jordi Pla Domenech was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1917 and died in 1992. In the 1950′s he held many exhibitions in Barcelona, Mataro, Palma de Mallorca, Santander, Rome, Venice and New York. Jordi Pla Domenech also participated in the May Salon of Barcelona, Spain. In addition, Pla Domenech took part in the International Biennale of painters of the Foundation Estrada Saladrich. He won several awards including the Honor Diploma of the International Institute of the Decorators of Chicago in 1960. Pla Domenech is best known for his expressive and poetic figural works.
