About the Item

Joseph Floch (1894-1977). Young Girl, c.1930s. Lithograph on paper, plate measures 9 1/8 x 13 3/4 inches. Measures 17 x 21 inches framed. Excellent condition with no damage or conservation. Signed by artist in pencil lower right. This rare and early lithograph is from an unknown edition, certainly low in quantity as no comparable images are available digitally. The artist lived in Paris 1925-1941, and married there in 1934. The image almost certainly depicts one of Floch's two very young daughters, c. 1936-41.
