About the Item
Contemporary black and white figurative limited edition copperplate print by Polish artist Krzysztof Skorczewski. Print depicts an imaginary architecture. Title of this artwork is 'Olea Europea'.
Olea europaea, commonly known as the European olive tree, is an evergreen species native to the Mediterranean basin.
Symbolizing peace since ancient times, its gnarled trunk and drought tolerance make it a resilient cultural icon, cultivated for millennia across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
The etching by Krzysztof Skórczewski presents a meticulous blend of nature and architecture, showcasing a lush tree burgeoning from the confines of a sophisticated, ornate planter.
The planter, resembling an ancient, architectural relic, features intricate carvings and sits atop a structured platform. Surrounding the base, a network of scaffolding and mechanical elements suggests a fusion of organic growth and human ingenuity. The detailed rendering of leaves captures the natural elegance of the tree, contrasting sharply with the rigid, geometric form of the supporting structures. This juxtaposition creates a striking visual narrative, emphasizing the harmonious yet complex relationship between man-made and natural worlds.
Overall, this piece seamlessly marries the organic with the engineered, inviting contemplation on nature's resilience and symbolical meaning.

MIGHTY TREE II Signed Original Lithograph Hyper-detailed Drawing Surreal Tree
By Hanna Kay
Located in Union City, NJ
MIGHTY TREE II is an original hand drawn limited edition lithograph(not a photo reproduction or digital print) using traditional hand lithography techniques on archival Arches buff colored paper, 100% acid free. MIGHTY TREE II is truly an imaginative, surrealist style triptych drawing of an uprooted age-old tree existing from another time.
Superb quality, hand crafted original lithograph, very fine impression.
