Greg Singley
Greg Singley – was born in 1950 in Greensboro, Alabama. He received his Associates Degree at Walker Collage Jasper Alabama and furthered his college education at the University of South Alabama, Mobile Alabama. He attended the revered Ringling School of Art for his art training in Sarasota Florida and graduated with honors with a certificate in commercial illustration.
In 1978 Singley moved to Phoenix Arizona to pursue his passion for western art and illustration. He worked for several years as an art director for Phoenix Public News and as a freelance illustrator and at the same time experienced sales of Native American and Western Landscape in several Arizona galleries which include Ratliff Williams Gallery, Sedona Arizona, Fagan Peterson Fine Art, Scottsdale and the Dan May Gallery, Scottsdale Arizona.

Their current photographic project, In Empathy We Trust, presents viewers with re-imagined iconic images from the history of art. The collaborators re-envisioned the work of old master painters
beginning with the Flemish Primitives and spanning nearly 600 years.
With subjects enacting roles with varied representations of race, age, and sexual orientation, e2 “remakes with a twist” works by artists such as van Eyck, Rafael, Velázquez, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Fragonard, and Manet. Inspired by the original paintings, e2 hopes to “jar viewers” into questioning their own perceptions. They invite viewers to see these images, and indeed the world anew, using humor, wit and playfulness. In addition they hope that the viewers will see how stereotypes can lead to prejudice and discrimination.
The collaboration began in 2010, after completing work on the traveling exhibition and book project Before (During) After: Louisiana Photographers Respond to Hurricane Katrina. This natural and man-made disaster brought social inequities in Louisiana into vivid focus. Conversations between Kleinveld and Julien revealed their mutual interest in issues of social justice.
Accompanying e2’s series is its own coat of arms, bringing new meaning to the traditional symbol of the aristocracy. Heralded with pelicans and a fleur de lis, the shield reflects the artists’ Louisiana roots. It also features their motto: In Empathy We Trust, which reflects the core values of e2’s work. As with the concept of memento mori, this black and white photographic portrait brings together life and death in close proximity. The skull is held closely to the human's body, as if the bones now take the place of their own head. Taxidermy and preserved animal bones bring the living face-to-face with the fleeting nature of life, adding to our cabinet of curiosities. This work by Amanda Lomax conjures up thoughts of Georgia O'Keeffe and her time spent out west in New Mexico's desert landscape.

Donald is a professional model, gem collector, and all around Renaissance Man. When we found this unusual skull of a three horned ram, it seemed as unique and special as he is. Sometimes we feel like facing the world head on. Sometimes we feel like presenting ourselves behind a three-horned sheep skull.

Photography and acting are kindred spirits in the new series by e2 (Elizabeth Kleinveld and Epaul Julien). Their current photographic project, In Empathy We Trust, presents viewers with re-imagined iconic images from the history of art. The collaborators re-envisioned the work of old master painters beginning with the Flemish Primitives and spanning nearly 600 years.
With subjects enacting roles with varied representations of race, age, and sexual orientation, e2 “remakes with a twist” works by artists such as van Eyck, Rafael, Velázquez, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Fragonard, and Manet. Inspired by the original paintings, e2 hopes to “jar viewers” into questioning their own perceptions. They invite viewers to see these images, and indeed the world anew, using humor, wit and playfulness. In addition they hope that the viewers will see how stereotypes can lead to prejudice and discrimination.
The collaboration began in 2010, after completing work on the traveling exhibition and book project Before (During) After: Louisiana Photographers Respond to Hurricane Katrina. This natural and man-made disaster brought social inequities in Louisiana into vivid focus. Conversations between Kleinveld and Julien revealed their mutual interest in issues of social justice.
Accompanying e2’s series is its own coat of arms, bringing new meaning to the traditional symbol of the aristocracy. Heralded with pelicans and a fleur de lis, the shield reflects the artists’ Louisiana roots. It also features their motto: In Empathy We Trust, which reflects the core values of e2’s work.
