Portrayed in Delacroix's popular and recognizable naive style, Mariage a la Campagne depicts a romantic scene of a French country wedding party posing for the photographer in front of the circular driveway of a classic, grand French Maison as guests in horse drawn carriages and vintage cars watch from nearby. A lovely cloudless pale blue sky and manicured landscape with soft colored leafy trees and multicolor bushes surround the happy event.

About the artist MICHEL DELACROIX-
Born in Paris, France, in 1933, Michel Delacroix studied at the Lycee Louis-le-Grand, renowned worldwide for his masterful preservation of the naïf style. Michel Delacroix's unique winsom style in his paintings and graphics combine structure and detail with rich color to convey nostalgic scenes of the streets and people of Paris, his native city. He has had numerous one-man shows as well as group exhibitions all over Europe. Among these are: 1972 Galerie Romi, Paris; Galerie 93, Paris; 1973 Galerie Krull Kreffeld, Germany; Centre Cultural Francais, Luxembourg; 1974 I.K.I., Dusseldorf; Arts Guild Exposition, Monte Carlo; Salon des Artists Francais, Paris. Delacroix has also received numerous awards in recognition of his outstanding primitive style of painting. These include: 1973 Prix Public, Prix Pro Arte, Morges, Switzerland; 1975 Grand Prix des Amateurs D'Art, Paris; 1976 Prix de la Cotes D'Azure, Cannes and Premier Prix des Sept Collines, Rome.
