Excerpted from the Peter Max Archives, Peter Max's striking image of a golden sailboat in a tempestuous sea storm features some of Max's most passionate and riotous painting, rendered in his multi-colored brushstrokes that he mixes right on the brush. This dynamic artwork reproduces the spontaneous motion, energy and rich cerulean and sapphire blues of Max's painting, creating an enthralling work.
PETER MAX (1937- ) Peter Max has achieved huge success and world-wide recognition for his artistic accomplishments as a multi-dimensional artist. From visionary Pop artist of the 1960s, to master of dynamic Neo Expressionism, his vibrant colors have become part of the fabric of contemporary American culture.
