A major painting by this celebrated Burmese Modernist, painted when the artist was 33 years old. This substantial work was prominently exhibited at the artist's inaugural one-man exhibition in the United States, held at the San Francisco Mission Cultural Center in 1981. A pioneer of modern art in Myanmar, Aung Aung Taik first attended the State Academy of Art in Rangoon where he studied under two of Burma's leading contemporary artists, U Ba Kyi and U Ngwe Gaing...
