The artwork represents a mysterious landscape in a well-balanced composition.
Sergio Vacchi ( 1925 –2016) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, first influenced by Picasso di Guernica and Cezannian painting, he joined the artists of the Galleria del Milione which enshrined his knowledge in the most refined collections. In 1959 he moved to Rome where he met the most popular artists of both painting and cinema. In the meantime, his painting receives national and international recognition. It passes from the informal material of the fifties to a surreal and expressionist figuration that characterizes it also in the latest works

Sergio Vacchi
Sergio Vacchi held his first solo exhibition in Milan, 1951, at the Galleria del Milione. After the Post-Cubist period, between 1956–62, he focused on Informalism. In the early 1960s, Vacchi moved to Rome, where he started a cycle of gouaches and paintings. He attended the Venice Biennal in 1964. In 1997, he moved to Siena, where he founded the foundation Fondazione Vacchi.
