Fairey first encountered Bowie in 1983 with the release of Let’s Dance, when tracks like “Let’s Dance,” “China Girl,” and “Modern Love” dominated the airwaves. A few years later, discovering The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars at a flea market transformed casual admiration into lifelong devotion.
