About the Item
Biblia Epistolae is a beautiful lithograph on paper, realized by an unknown artist signed "Virginie D.B." in the inscription on lower left margin. Other inscriptions refer to the guide books drawn.
This is a beautiful old master's artwork, representing an astonished audience in front of the lecture of the Holy Scriptures. Pope seats reflecting on those words, other personalities of the Christian church are there, one is pointing out the right direction and another is deeply riding and holding the volume in his hands. A lion is the guardian of the Holy scriptures and is on the footh of the big personalities.
In very good condition, this artwork with a deep moral meaning has the only defect of light and sporadic foxing on the margin, does nit affect the image.
