About the Item
La Pompadour, printed by Maeght Éditeur in Paris in 1992, is a restrike of an earlier poster created for a Henri Matisse exhibition held at the Maeght Foundation in Saint-Paul-de-Vence in the early 1950s. This edition revives the original design, capturing Matisse’s elegant, simplified forms and vibrant sense of line, while honoring the historic collaboration between the artist and the Maeght family.
