Engraver, sculptor and painter, Edo Janich was born in Valvasone in 1943. He began very young to draw and paint, and today boasts about 450 etching slabs made for the most famous Italian art publishers. As a sculptor he realized, for the Church San Pietro in Bagheria, in the province of Palermo, the bronze cycle of the Via Crucis and the furnishings. He has held numerous personal exhibitions both in Italy and abroad.

Edo Janich
Edo Janich, engraver and sculptor, was born in Valvasone, Italy in 1943. Since 1962, he has been interested in sculpture and only years later he began engraving. From 1976 he alternated the two activities. As a sculptor, he created the Via Crucis and the furnishings for the Church of San Pietro in Bagheria, which kept him busy for more than three years. As an engraver, from 1968 to today, he has created about 400 etchings, often collaborating with the publisher Sellerio of Palermo.He has held solo exhibitions in Rome, Bucharest, Amsterdam, Belgrade, Zagreb, Reggio Emilia, Ravenna, Ferrara, Padua, Porretta Terme, San Giovanni in Valdarno, Ragusa, Spilimbergo, Split, Rome, Trieste, Florence, Pordenone, Palermo.
