Jasper Johns Map is one of his most celebrated and recognizable works, transforming the familiar image of the United States into an exploration of abstraction, color, and perception. Originally created in the 1960s, Map reflects Johns fascination with everyday symbols and his ability to challenge viewers understanding of the ordinary. This edition, issued by MoMA as part of a six-print portfolio, has long since gone out of print, making it a desirable piece for collectors of modern American art.
Presented in a white wood frame with a 1-inch front profile and a 3/4-inch side profile, the artwork is mounted behind a 4-inch mat, offering a clean, gallery-style display that complements Johns bold and experimental composition.
