About the Item

Alejandra has always been captivated by humanity's urge to interpret and comprehend the world through various forms of representation, such as drawing, rituals, and explaining phenomena with myths, narratives, and the artistry inherent in the natural sciences like geography and paleontology, which seek to make sense of and reconstruct the history of life on Earth. While science provides logical and empirical data through the scientific method to explain our observations, these explanations are subject to change. Past beliefs can become unbelievable, as seen with ancient narratives that once governed our understanding of the world and the cosmos. Alejandra finds this change intriguing and wonders if humans can once again respect and revere nature as in the past. She explores this idea through art that reflects her perception of life, its origins, and everything visible and invisible that encompasses it, be it real or imaginary, large or minuscule.
