"Pomme d' Amour" Mid-Century Modern Aquatint embossed Floral "Sept Tomate Original by Anne Walker
Mid-Century Modern Aquatint of the Pomme d’amour or ‘Love Apple’ by Anne Walker (Belgia/French, 1933), is what the French call a Tomato. The French believed that indulging in this luscious red ‘fruit’ would make whoever was eating the pomme d’amour, excuse the pun ‘ripe’ for love, acting as an aphrodisiac.
