Claudia Ferreiro (Santiago de Compostela, 1996) explores memory and identity linked to the territory using the photographic medium as a tool for self-knowledge. Shot with a Minolta X-300, the “Berce” series by the Compostela artist presents colorful images in which light plays an essential role within rural spaces. The works here are an awareness of time, a visual experience in which, finally, one becomes aware that he is alive. In his photographs we do not see stopped, eternal and still time represented, which is usually the time of the artistic space, but rather we can glimpse a time that moves at a speed for which we are not prepared, perhaps because it never stops. altogether. Time is never there as we would like it to be. And in that way, paradoxically, we are aware of it.
