Champ de Tournesols is an original hand drawn lithograph by the French artist Georges Lambert printed in Paris France during the 1970's using traditional hand lithography techniques on archival Arches paper 100% acid free. Champ de Tournesols depicts a contemporary style French village landscape featuring a blazing field of orange yellow sunflowers along the roadway leading to a small group of houses whose multicolor roofs brighten up the scenic view. A warm color palette of yellow, orange, brown, pink, red, black and white present a pleasing sunset scene.

Georges Lambert (Paris, 1919 - 1998) was a 20th century French painter and lithographer of landscapes, seascapes and figure studies, Georges Lambert received his education at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere, Paris, where he studied primarily under Othon Friesz. During Lambert's career his art was exhibited internationally in countries such as Germany, Italy, France, England and the United States. Georges Lambert also contributed original lithographs to some artist's illustrated books such as, Machiavelli's, "The Prince" (1964).

Georges Lambert
Georges Lambert ( French, 1919-1998) was a French painter and lithographer devoted to vibrant coloration of landscapes, figure studies, seascapes, and harbor scenes, in a semi modernist style. He studied at the Academie de la Grande Chamiere, Paris, where he worked under Othon Friesz. Lambert exhibited throughout France, and internationally in countries such as Germany, Italy, England, and the United States. Lambert also produced original lithographs for several publications and books , such as the 1964 edition of Machiavelli's " The Prince".
