Signed lower right, 'Jacques Petit' (French, born 1925) with number and limitation, '34/275', lower left; additionally, certificate of authenticity from the Societe Verification de la Nouvelle Gravure Internationale New York and Paris attached verso.
Jacques Petit attended France's École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs before, with the encouragement of renowned art critic George Besson, exhibiting widely and with success around the water, including throughout Europe, Chicago and San Francisco, Canada and Japan. During his time in Paris, Petit met and befriended individuals including Paul Collomb and Albert Zavaro.
Petit's works can be found in the permanent collections of numerous public museums including Paris and the Art Institute of Chicago.
