About the Item

IN PRISTINE CONDITION. A color Chromolithograph published by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad in 1912 after the original oil painting, “Grand Canyon of Arizona from Hermit Rim Road” 1912, commissioned by the AT&SF railroad. According to Nancy K. Anderson, this print, at the time it was published (1912), was used by the Railroad as a promotional gift. The print offered here was discovered in the AT&SF archives and was never circulated. It is in pristine, mint condition, untrimmed and with full margins. Signed dated in the plate lower left. Printed by American Lithographic Co. Sheet size: 27 x 35 inches.
