About the Item

Two figures, one on horseback, travel along a winding path toward a hilltop castle. This is a later restrike of a seventeenth-century etching by Dominique Barriere (c.1618-1678), printed in Rome by Giovanni Giacomo de' Rossi (1627-1691). The work is elegantly presented in a wooden frame with gilt-effect slip. On paper. Image size: 15 x 23.5cm.
