About the Item

This is an original lithographic poster created in 1943 as part of the Second World War effort. It shows the various far flung regions of the world where the U.S. forces were engaging in the battle for freedom. It is well drawn and finely printed. It details many of the distant battle sites that the U.S. troops were engaged in ranging from Pearl Harbor to Guadalcanal to Tunisia. The soldier in the image is beckoning others to join him. This is the small variant of this poster. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
