A striking 19th-century botanical engraving depicting Ipomoea horsfalliae, also known as Lady Doorly’s Morning Glory. This exquisite floral illustration is attributed to the renowned British botanist William Jackson Hooker, and likely originates from a prestigious botanical publication such as Curtis’s Botanical Magazine. The detailed rendering features lush green leaves and soft pink trumpet-shaped blossoms with a golden vine swirling elegantly through the composition. The engraving is housed in a classic black and gold wooden frame with a beige mat and glass front, preserving the piece’s delicate nature while enhancing its timeless charm. The reverse shows signs of age and water staining, contributing to its authentic antique character. A label from “Charles’ Custom Framing” is affixed on the back, possibly dating from mid-20th century.
