Patty deGrandpre’s “Broken Television 9” is a unique abstract 5 x 9 inch inkjet print on 11 x 14 inch photo paper in predominately blue hues and incorporates a picture taken of a broken television screen. The interior soft edges of indigo in this bold print are interrupted on the right by a striated spectrum of color and is from her “Broken Television” series. Patty deGrandpre’s small contemporary works have a powerful effect as the viewer is compelled to look closer at the layers and hues. Each unique image is inkjet printed only once, on Red River Polar Mat Photo paper, and is signed and dated bottom right. This print will ship flat in a protective sleeve ready for the frame of your choice. This dynamic print would make a lovely addition to any contemporary collection.
Patty deGrandpre embraces technology and enjoys using scanned and digital imagery in combination with traditional printmaking techniques. She prints on smooth surfaces such as photo paper and drafting film. The ink sits on top of the media creating greater contrast.
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She has participated in many exhibitions both on local and national levels. Patty deGrandpre
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She received her BFA in Visual Design at Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1987. Her studio is in her home in Lamy, New Mexico. She has participated in many shows, both juried and invitational, at local, regional and national levels. In addition to three solo exhibitions, she has received accolades and awards over the years in both Fine Art and Printmaking.
