About the Item
Patty deGrandpre’s “Passing Through” is a one of a kind eloquent 13 x 11.5 inch abstract monoprint . Striations and fields of warm pinks and oranges are inkjet printed in layers onto drafting film that has been coated with cool silver grey metallic block printing ink. The contrasting hues of this luminous print contain elements from her ‘Broken Television” series which was created by using digitally manipulated photos of a TV screen while it was in the process of malfunctioning. This print will be an unique addition to any contemporary collection.
Patty deGrandpre embraces technology and enjoys using scanned and digital imagery in combination with traditional printmaking techniques. She prints on smooth surfaces such as photo paper and drafting film. The ink sits on top of the media creating greater contrast.
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She has participated in many exhibitions both on local and national levels. She has been featured in a number of periodicals and has received multiple awards for both fine art and printmaking. Patty DeGrandpre is represented by Fountain Street Gallery based in Boston, MA.

Patty deGrandpre
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She received her BFA in Visual Design at Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1987. Her studio is in her home in Lamy, New Mexico. She has participated in many shows, both juried and invitational, at local, regional and national levels. In addition to three solo exhibitions, she has received accolades and awards over the years in both Fine Art and Printmaking.
