'Oriental Head Dress (Persia)' Photogravure after Donald Macbeth (1865-1943). Donald Macbeth was a commercial photographer who seems to have held a quasi-official position at the British Museum, where he regularly photographed the galleries, staff and the collection between at least 1906 and 1932. From a collection of photogravures depicting Greek and Roman marbles and bronzes in the British museum. Plate number above top right corner of the image. 235mm by 145mm (platemark) 300mm by 235mm (sheet size).
