About the Item

This seven-panel installation belongs to The Dinners, a key series within the artist’s long-term Moldovan Carpet project, where domestic ritual, portraiture and cultural memory converge through a contemporary queer lens. In this limited edition configuration (Edition 11 of 25), seven vertically oriented panels unfold along a shared banquet table, presenting a sequence of figures, gestures and objects that form a fragmented yet cohesive narrative. Each character appears isolated within their own panel, yet visually and emotionally linked to the others through rhythm, repetition and chromatic continuity. The backgrounds reinterpret traditional Moldovan floral carpets through pixelated patterning and saturated color, translating textile heritage into a digital visual language. These ornamental fields act as both backdrop and psychological atmosphere. Below, carefully staged still-life elements—fruit, pastries, cutlery, ashtrays, sweets and everyday remnants—function as narrative markers rather than decoration, suggesting intimacy, routine, tension and the residue of shared moments. The banquet becomes a site of both connection and distance, where celebration and introspection coexist. Printed directly onto Dibond using UV technology, the panels retain the luminosity, precision and material depth of the original paintings. The modular format allows for flexible installation: the seven pieces may be displayed as a continuous frieze, spaced to respond to architectural constraints, or presented as individual narrative units. The scale and visual density of the work make it particularly suitable for large walls, hospitality environments, institutional contexts or private collections interested in contemporary figurative and queer-led practices. Medium: Direct UV print on Dibond Panels: Seven individual vertical panels Edition: 11/25 – Signed and numbered Dimensions of each panel: 120 × 40 cm Approximate installed size: 280 × 120 cm (depending on spacing) Installation: Ships ready to hang; custom framing available upon request We operate globally with the same attention and proximity we extend to our local neighbors. A series of paintings exploring the dynamic and expressive shapes of pot plants. I love the way that nature expresses itself; plants often remind me of dancers, but being rooted in solid earth or a heavy pot their 'moves' seem to express an un-self-conscious celebration of life, and a contented acceptance of their earthbound limitations.
