Washington and His Family published in Philadelphia in 1884 by Bradlee
Co. This impressive mezzotint was engraved by William Sartain after a painting by the well-known Philadelphia artist Christian Schussele. Sartain was considered one of the best American mezzotint artists of the nineteenth century. This print is in very good condition and is archival framed. The price reflects the cost of this beautiful frame that is particularly suited to the subject.
