This poster features Simon Hantaï's solo exhibition at the Flaine Art Center.
Simon Hantaï is a French-Hungarian painter and conceptual artist. During the 1960s, he developed a method of folding canvases which he then covered with paint. Once opened, the paint reveals a distinct colored pattern and negative space: a technique he calls folding. "When I fold, I am objective and it allows me to lose myself.
