About the Item

Dans l’Atelier de Picasso. Original page from the portfolio, executed as a stone lithograph after Picasso (d’après Deschamps), printed and published by Fernand Mourlot, Paris. The sheet, which measures 8 ¾ × 10 ¾ inches, is unsigned and not included in the catalogue raisonné, underscoring its rarity. Produced as part of a limited series documenting Picasso’s studio and process, these impressions were made under the direction of master printer Henri Deschamps, a close collaborator of Picasso. This example, acquired directly from the printer many years ago, represents a scarce surviving work from the Mourlot press and a fascinating glimpse into Picasso’s creative environment.

Untitled Symbolic French Still Life by Laurent Schkolnyk
By Laurent Schkolnyk
Located in New York, NY
This gorgeous and subtle still life print by Laurent Schkolnyk, realized in France during the latter half of the 20th Century. The work features an arrangement of objects on a plane, presumably a table. Fabric, appearing to be drapes in a sumptuous copper hue, gathers the right edge of the composition next to a perfume bottle with a bulbous base that tapers to a elegantly attenuated neck in a vibrant lime green hue with stylized foliate detailing in azure. The perfume bottle also offers an umber hued atomizer. Moving from right to left, there is a half circular bowl with an abstracted white...
