About the Item
The sculpture is called "In Motion." Cast bronze.
This work is one of the first in which I explored the theme of movement—the movement of the human body, the female body, how it appears in dance, in a turn. The abstract forms that create the structure of the sculpture are the vibrations emitted by the body as it moves through space. Subtle forms, fluid lines, one detail flowing into another. This creates the effect of movement. Polished bronze is combined with a natural patina. 1 of a kind
Born in 1954. 1976-1982 – graduated National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Department of sculpture.
2001 – Awarded with a title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. Work as a sculptor for more then 40 years. Participated exhibitions and fairs locally and worldwide. Had about 15 solo art shows While studying, Radionov worked as an assistant in National Opera Theater of Ukraine. Lives in Kyiv, Ukraine.
