About the Item

Habitat Elusive, a sculpture by Eelco Hilgerson. This piece is made with polarised lenses and consists of two independent pieces. Colour: red - pink Introducing "Elusive" from the renowned Habitat family, an abstract sculpture that epitomizes the beauty of modern design. Named for its captivating form, "Elusive" features a torus shape that gracefully encircles a central sphere, creating a seamless sense of unity despite the two shapes never touching. Crafted from thousands of intricate lenses, this artwork plays with light and perspective, offering a dynamic and mesmerizing visual experience. "Elusive" is more than just a sculpture; it is a statement piece that transforms any space with its ethereal presence. Elevate your environment with the sophisticated allure of "Elusive" – a perfect blend of innovation and artistry that captures the essence of contemporary elegance. Don't miss the opportunity to have this color wall sculpture, made with polarized glasses lenses. Eelco Hilgersom was born in 1979 in Amsterdam. Since he was a child he has been fascinated by architecture and the structures created by nature. This fascination has led him to create abstract works based on these natural forms and organisms. In all of them Eelco looks for contrasts of form, colour or material. "My aim is to excite the viewer through the contrasts and complexity of the work. To achieve this goal he uses different techniques and materials. He constantly seeks the challenge of working with new materials. This requires learning the material by heart and discovering the possibilities of the material he wants to work with. What matters is the end result. Each concept he wants to develop requires a different approach, which is why he works with different materials. "As I don't impose myself, I don't impose guidelines or frameworks on myself, I can give free rein to my ideas.
