The sculpture is composed entirely of hand-modeled natural clay, fired at low temperature and spray-colored to create hundreds of individually tinted "candies." ‘Confetti, Marshmallow and Bubblegum’, these are the elements through which Elizabeth Art Candy (Verona, 1980) reinterprets the icons of our time: comic strips, cartoons, objects, images that take us back to other memories, not forgetting the fashion universe in which she has worked for years. Elizabeth, inspired by the tradition of Pop culture, manages to transform these clay candies into precious tesserae capable of giving life to works-mosaics, plastic and animated, where light slips into the hollows and fissures to create original volumetries, mixing techniques, materials and genres, modifying their function and exhorting us to see things in a new way.
