Minimal Abstract Ceramic 36 x 36 inch wall sculpture in glossy and matte white ceramic tiles that are mounted to a white wood panel. A neutral work showcasing an "X" in matte white surrounded by glossy white. Created with handmade ceramic square tiles mounted to a wood panel from Pop Art pioneer Jane B. Grimm, whose minimal and meditative sculptures and wall reliefs are comprised of ceramic, using a low fire method. Grimm's career began in the 1960s, when her freeform sculptural jewelry exploded onto the fashion scene in NYC. Her contemporary ceramic sculptures have premiered in galleries and museums worldwide.
'All That Jazz XXI '' is a dramatic and provocative work in neutral tinted ceramic squares. Appropriate to display in a kitchen or bathroom, where other mediums — painting, or works on paper — may not hold up well under the same conditions of heat, moisture and light. Ceramic can take full light and even moisture.
