About the Item

Passion — part of the Seeds of the Sea series — embodies a surge of energy captured in form. Created from textile elements with soft filler, epoxy, and acrylic, the sculpture’s ribbed, deep crimson body curves upward into a crest of layered tendrils, shifting from scarlet to white to black. Its shape evokes both a marine seedpod and a living creature in motion — a moment of tension before release. The glossy shell suggests resilience, while the flowing extensions convey movement and desire. In Passion, Olga Radionova fuses the softness of fabric with the permanence of resin to explore how growth, attraction, and transformation intertwine beneath the surface.
