Sara Fine-Wilson's “Almost" is a gestural 13.5 x 12 x 9 inch ceramic sculpture in white and cream constructed from white stoneware. In this graceful and evocative sculpture individual slab elements are assembled and then layered in glaze which emphasizes the smooth fluid quality of the form. Fine Wilson combines the aesthetic qualities of both raw and refined in her work by incorporating smooth gloss, matte and cracked surfaces.
