About the Item
Sara Fine-Wilson's "Around" is a gestural 20 x 9 x 8 inch ceramic sculpture in deep chocolate brown. It is constructed out of chocolate stoneware with semi matte glaze with accents of gloss on the edges that highlight the graceful fluid form. Individual slab forms in chocolate are assembled and then layered with multiple glazes that emphasize the edges. The pieces surface has a raw cracked quality that nicely contrasts smooth fluid quality of the form.
Sara Fine-Wilson is a contemporary sculptor based in the Boston area. In her work she explores ideas about the emerging form of our subconscious mind. She also explores material, process and pushes boundaries. Fine-Wilson is represented by Fountain Street Gallery based in Boston, MA.
