Sara Fine-Wilson's “Nestledrip" is a gestural 11 x 8 x 9 inch ceramic sculpture in rich chocolate brown constructed from chocolate stoneware. In this graceful and evocative sculpture wheel thrown elements are combined and assembled and then layered in milky translucent semi matte and gloss glazes which emphasize the smooth fluid quality of the form. Fine-Wilson combines the aesthetic qualities of both raw and refined in her work by incorporating smooth, gloss, matte and cracked surfaces.
