About the Item

In addition to Susan Lisbin's practice as a painter, she is a very active ceramicist. To create this sculpture, Lisbin experimented with folding layers over layer of ceramic before it was fired and set. The materials include stoneware clay and underglaze for the sculpture and for the the base, stoneware clay and terra sigillata. The result is an exciting take on 20th-century sculptor John Chamberlain!
